How it all started?
Foliage is a 5 piece band, consisting omar,red,haq,daniel and
mat.previously some of us play as pintu rintangan api and day
of tomorrow. to cut the story short, it started in second quarter
of two thousand and seven. if you want to know the breakdown of
the history, go to our website and check it out(but its still
in progress hahah)
2.Your
new demo sounds amazing. Please describe about it.
Thanks, we really hope everyone will like it. the demo is mainly
the first 4 songs we wrote together as foliage. its something
different than what all of us had done before as a band. Lyrically,
its inspired by story line from a novel by Roald Dahl tittled
The Sound Machine. but basically we have our own interpretation
of it.
3.What
is Foliage direction in making music? any influences?
For music direction we try to sound different from other bands
and be original, but thats one of the most difficult things to
do for any band we guess. we are still trying and developing our
own sound. for influences, we love from most of 31G bands,third
arm records band to electronica bands. we love almost everything.
4.Third
Arm Records would like to release your new materials. Is that
fine with you guys?
we self released the demo on cd-r for only 88 copies. if third
arm would like to release it on cassette we would be so much appreciate.

Some short interview with DEVILICA:
1.First of all, congratulations on your new release! Any
special wish?
Assalamualaikum and hello to all. Thanx a lots for the wish and
we would like to thanx this two creatures who helped us a lot in
releasing the new material. Pak Tue and Haq.. without them, there
will be no 11:11 and No “the journey continues” and
also to all those people who’ve been behind us all this year
started from day one and the name you can read it in our thanxlist
sleeve. Hahaha. Exspecially our beloved brothers in Revolt and Chaos
and Third Arm Records.
2.Please
brief us about Devilica. Why the line up changes?
Devilica started out in 2001 but we changed our name in early
2004. We also changed our musical style from Chaotic metal to
Mathcore and now we got more Grindcore and Death Metal element
in it..The line up change was made for our own good too. To delivered
good music we need to find a members who can give 100% commitment.
I’m not saying that our ex member is not good but they got
another commitment in job, study and it’s difficult for
them to concentrated on a band. Hope you guys can understand the
situation.
3.Tell
us about the new devilica cd. What is the meaning behind the album
title? artwork, etc.
The journey continues potray our struggle and fight in the scene.
And there’s still lots of things that we want to give to
the scene and the people who listen to us. It shows no matter
how hard we faced the problem we still gonna continues our struggle
because our love to the scene is too deep. About the artwork,
I try to delivered something different. Not trying to be typical
and also we want to show that we are the band from Malaysia. The
artwork is a mix between eastern and western culture and it shows
that hardcore has no boundaries and all of us is equal but we
still got our own unique culture to show to the kids out there.

4.How about your recording process, is it good/difficult?
tell us about it.
It takes us two hard days to finished the recording, Well, it’s
really hard because we raced with the time and we lack of financial
on that time. And our hardwork paid after rehearsing about a years.
Our sound engineer Mokhtar helped us a lots during the recording
and really know what we really want. That’s why we still
choose him for this released.
5.Your
future plan? what is your expectation in next few years?
Releasing more and more materials and exploring with more sounds.Insyaallah.
We love to experiments things and try to delivered something new
( not so new lah haha) in our music. We expect more kids will
into this kind of music because it’s fun so we can meet
new bands and changing ideas with them.And when there’s
lots of kids listen to this kind of music and the scene will be
stronger as before and it can helped the bands and diy labels
to grow and being more productive in the future and no needs for
us to end up our life to the capitalist world.

1.Guys, congratulation for your success tour in Japan. How u guys
feeling now?
Thanks
a lot. That congratulation should be given to Satire Records and
Tiala for their hard work. We owe them too much haha now we miss
Japan so much!
2.Please
let us know about Blood On Wedding Dress. When this band started?
Blood On Wedding Dress is a band. haha We play for fun, started
as normal band somewhere during school days, As time goes by,
we found many friends, get to know and meet many people, enjoy
music, hanging out with each other, blablabla. and now we have
some target and we love to do it.
3.About
your Japan's tour, how it all started? how u guys go there actually?
We go by plane. Aeroplane. We want to go by ship, but we don't
know how. hahaha. Actually It all started after back from Indonesia
tour last year. We love to tour again this year and finally Japan
crossed our mind. Then Dean and nazier (papakerma) help us out,
contact some of their Japanese friend and told about our plan.
Then we keep in touch with Minoru (Satire Records), buy tickets,
settle visa, make new songs, record and off we go. Quite a stress
during that time coz it needs a lot of hard work. But in the end,
all of us love it so much.
4.Tell
us more about your Japan's Tour. How many venues, how many bands,
etc.
We play at Okayama, Kitakyusyu, Kyoto, Uguisudani, Yokosuka, Yamagata,
Koiwa and Tokyo. 8 places and very damn tired. haha but we managed
to go sight seeing in Kyoto, Asakusa and Disneyland! wohoo, it's
great! Japanese bands are very good, interesting and super tight.
We play with Tiala, Shift, Killie, Deep Slauter, Sete Star September,
Cynic13, Curve, Qomolangma Tomata, Shuwa and many more. A lots
and all of them are very good. Believe us, they're incredible.
5.About
Japan's music scene. People want to know more about it. Do u have
any problems during tour? Tell us.
Japanese are very serious about music. They love music so much
without boundaries. They manage their bands very well. After release
new materials, they tour and play shows. There are lot of shows
in every month at different places. Japanese also crazy about
equipments and musical instruments. They know a lot about sound,
amp, gadgets, effects and all that. That differ from us in Malaysia.
I guess we should learn more about sound and instruments. It necessary
when u have band and play shows.
Problems? Hm,only communication. Quite a difficult to communicate
during tour but it's not a big problem because all of japanese
are so friendly. They always try and learn how to speak with you.
6.Good
luck in what ever you do. Any future plans? and finally,your special
wish.
Hoho thanks a lot. Future plan? hm, not yet for the moment. Just
trying to make new materials with new sound. Lastly big thanks
to all of our friends in Malaysia and Japan. Do whatever u do
